Grand Mark Lodge – London 12th March 2024

A great day out at Freemasons Hall, Great Queen Street, London, was had by all at the quarterly communication of Grand Mark Lodge, especially the contingent from West Lancashire, who were lead by the RWPGM, the Deputy PGM and the two Assistant PGM’s, Grand Secretary along with a host of the great and the good of  the West Lancs Mark Mason’s.
The Pro Grand Master was lead into Grand Lodge by WBro Tony Cross DepGSwdB, acting as Grand Sword Bearer for the day.
VWBro Dan Heath was confirmed as Grand Secretary during the meeting.
The Lodge was called off and a number of non-Masonic guests were invited into Grand Lodge to see and hear a report on the activities of the Mark Benevolent Fund and the use of the funds money in bringing music into prisons and other areas to help improve the lives of those in need. Unfortunately, technical issues prevented a number of videos being shown, but the talks and live music provided by one of the guests was well received.
WBro Jonathan Spence, Pro Grand Master in the Craft gave a short talk on the importance of all Masons in all degrees working together to keep Freemasonry vibrant and to ensure future growth and said that MWBro John Prizeman was to attend Grand Lodge the following day to highlight the same. The talk by WBro Spence and the sentiment was well received by all present.
The meeting was closed and everybody retired to the Grand Connaught Rooms for dinner, entertaining conversation, a good deal of banter and some brief but entertaining speeches.
For those in the know Brethren, what goes on in London stays in London!
A great day was had by the West Lancs Mark Masons finished off with the last drop of wine on the train home.
